Academic colleagues in the UBEL DTP are invited to submit an application to host an ADR PhD studentship at one of the partner institutions of the UBEL DTP, starting in October 2027. The deadline for internal submission to UBEL via this platform is Monday 20 July 2026 23:59
Applications will be managed by UBEL DTP and a panel of academic colleagues from across the DTP institutions will select five applications to submit for consideration by the external ADR Panel. Applicants will know the outcome of their applications to UBEL by Friday 7 August 2026 17:00
The ADR deadline for UBEL DTP to submit the five selected applications is Tuesday 15 September 2026 16:00
UBEL DTP will be informed of the outcome in January 2027 and we will convey this information to colleagues who submitted the five applications.
Students will be able to apply for any successful studentships in February/March 2027, with the studentships to start on 1 October 2027.

There are 30 studentships available in total across the DTP network, and the cohort of supervisors and the students selected will join ADR UK’s existing PhD programme to develop exemplar case studies to promote wider use of administrative data for research.
